I was browsing odd electronic products today when I came across a GPS blocker. This device simply plugs into the cigarette lighter and instantly outputs a GPS jamming signal so that your GPS based devices will not work. You can no longer determine the location or speed of a vehicle in your fleet if a driver is using this device. If a laptop disabler had used GPS to determine vehicle motion, the laptop's screen could no longer be disabled.
As a fleet manager, it should make you sick to know that your drivers can now, for just $80, obtain a difficult-to-detect device which allows them to easily circumvent a system you have spent hundreds of thousands, possibly millions, to deploy. This is the primary reason The CarPC Store does not use GPS for the Auto Eclipse Laptop Disablers. You may not know where all your drivers are, but at least with Auto Eclipse Laptop Disablers, you know the Laptop is still disabled while they're driving.
You may argue "We have methods of dealing with that", but are they effective? Consider the below conversation between a driver in a fleet who had deployed GPS tracking, and another person:
Fleet Driver: "I got this because i don't want my employer to be able to look on a screen and see how fast i drive, where i am all the time or see when i run through McDonald's to pee or get a drink."
Unknown Responder: "As an employer, I would just fire you."
Fleet Driver: "You must be here for a reason. Also mine is to hide from my employer when i need to run a personal errand. Just so you know, it works like a charm, get yourself one, hide from the wifey, or whatever you need to hide from. It brings back the feeling of freedom. No worries about who is monitoring your every move."
Unknown Responder: "...Don't you think your boss will get suspicious when only your GPS signal is lost regularly?"
Fleet Driver: "No not really. Got about 200 trucks so one or two that don't work are no biggie... It's nice to feel free again."
Is that your employee? Can you really know? Did you see what the driver said? "It works like a charm"! Auto Eclipse Laptop Disablers certainly don't suffer from this problem!
We invite your company to reduce accidents and improve your bottom line by installing Auto Eclipse Laptop Disablers in your fleets! Please, Drive Toward Safety!
